iCloud is a cloud storage service from Apple Inc. Users have a 5GB of free storage, and can purchase additional storage for a total of 20GB, 200GB, 500GB or 1TB. This service allows users to store data such as photos, music, contacts, messages, calendar, mail, ibooks, documents, notes, apps, etc. and automatically keeps it up to date on all your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch devices.
iCloud provides an ideal way to wirelessly backup iOS devices directly to iCloud, instead of being reliant on manual backups to a host Mac or Windows computer using iTunes. It makes sure you always have the latest versions of your most important things on whatever device you are using, and lets you easily share photos, calendars, locations and more with friends and family. It even helps you find your device if you lose it.
If you deleted or lost some important data on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Apple Watch, but luckily you had backed up your device with iCloud, then you can easily restore the important data to your iOS device from iCloud backup, just by tapping on Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings > Erase iPhone/iPad/iPod touch > Select Restore from iCloud > Pick up the backup you created before.
